Working principle of magnetizer
Datetime:2013-06-15

The magnetizer is mainly composed of high-voltage capacitors, SCR (silicon controlled rectifier), and control circuits. Raise the power supply voltage and convert it into DC through a rectifier to charge the capacitor. The capacitor stores high-voltage direct current energy, which is controlled by SCR. The high-voltage energy is discharged through the magnetizing coil, generating a strong magnetic field that saturates the magnet. According to the different magnetizing coils, the charging voltage can be adjusted arbitrarily within the rated range.

The working principle of the capacitor pulse magnetizer is to first charge the capacitor with a high DC voltage, and then discharge it through a coil with extremely low resistance. The peak value of discharge pulse current can reach tens of thousands of amperes. This current pulse generates a strong magnetic field within the coil, which permanently magnetizes the hard magnetic material placed in the coil. The peak value of pulse current during the operation of the magnetizer is extremely high, which requires high performance of capacitors and SCR to withstand impulse current. So the key to the quality, lifespan, and stable performance of a magnetizer lies in this.
